Saya:
what JP Gov’s defination of digital citizenship: education designed to help young peoplr to develop the competences they need to use digital services
Use the internet wisely by Japanese interior ministy
Sonja:
for germany, there is not gov definition. From civil society: to empower young citizen to have tools and knoledges avalible for them. Empower one to have the agency to engage in civil science or political cause. Issues: German schools are underfunded. Civil group in the future can support students with not only technogy but also social values (or the idea of open souce etc)
Saya: promote inclusion in Japan, 30% aging (above 65) Important to include the eldery.
disinformation- cannot just solve via education, need to collaborate with private company (e.g. the platform owners)
Sonja: challenges education is not included in official curriculum. the knoledge is promoted somewhere else. such as private company. However german has vibrant civil society, they need continuous funding
from the government. Lobbying, political decision, policies framework etc.
Bias in youth hacking programs: Males prominantly. Want more gender balance. Different genders role models needed.
Tiff:
Saya: Exchange program. Make some changes in project.
Encourage student to learn English.
Promote citizen sciety: money and sense of belongning. To motivate them to continue.
Sonja: sense of belongning that lasts. for people of any ages. But especailly for the young people (as they have so many choices.) so creating a welcoming space is important.
Exchange program is important to help people think outside the box. to see how other countries and different background tackles similiar problems.
It’s important to provide structure for any age to welcome them come back again.
Tiff:
Sonja: Founding comes from government Germany , some from private donate.
Saya: CCC makes strong from sponsor.
