- What was changed after collect data(air condition). How it affected change air conditon more better?
- Roy: Source-tracing
- Dr. Sarawut: if you get the info, you can know how to protecct the environment. As well, let people (especially farmers) understand the effect of buring farming side product. That's meaningless to just burn stuff in other place.
- 收集資料後，最重要的是分析並找出問題所在，並制定解決方案。政府的態度和政策至關重要，若政府缺乏政策或能力，公民技術和社會力量或許能提供潛在解決方案。經驗顯示，感測器資料能幫助政府制定法律和政策，例如泰國的農作物燃燒問題。公民也能透過感測器資料保護自己，提高環境意識。
- Dear Prof. Sarawut, May I ask if the Thai government supports detailed air quality information, which might reveal some truth and affect impression
- Dr. Sarawut: Yes and no. They want to know the problem but not like to let people know. Gov't would like to buy sensors bot not like maintain them.
- 在這個專案中，我們發現安裝感測器有助於追蹤工廠污染源。然而，泰國的工業園區屬於私營部門，他們允許安裝感測器，但會收取能源和租金費用，這反映出他們不想了解真相。政府辦公室則希望瞭解問題，但面臨感測器維護困難。為解決這個問題，我們與國家鐵路合作，將感測器分配給城市、村莊和地區辦公室，讓他們自行維護。這個策略有效。
- Do u think in the end, environmental issues still need to relying on the government resource? What could a long-term strategy roadmap look like?
- Dongpo: yes in Taiwan we have longterm fighting in it. How to trace air and water pollutions. If only rely on government, the desire benefits will only focus on the perspective of government. Civic tech organization could bring different perspective, which will make their concern more diverse.
- Weichen: Today's presenters are from different sides of stakeholders: business, research and NGO. view point could be very differ.
- Roy: Balanace issue. We need to control and grow together.
- 長期策略對於政府的環境保護非常重要。在台灣，我們有追蹤空氣和水污染來源的策略，並且政府和公民社會組織間的溝通至關重要。不同利益相關者需要合作，確保環境保護與經濟增長的平衡。透過公民回報和政府的政策，雙方可以共同努力改善環境。此外，資料視覺化工具有助於揭示問題並促進政府採取行動。公民、政府和其他利益相關者需要共同合作，解決環境問題並促進可持續發展。
- What’s the government’s attitude about this kind of civil initiative in Taiwan or Thailand? They trying to learn from this practice?
- Dongpo: hope government joing together. worry about the government's focus shifting.
- Dr. Sarawut: people who are interested have no idea how to collaborate internaionally.
- Dongpo: Agree with you, civic servants lacks of knowledge how to cooperate with civic tech organization.
- Weichen: echo on this. For cival servants, collaborate with civic tech group are full of uncertain and risky. Need more time to establish confidence.
- 在台灣和泰國，政府對民間倡議的態度不一。我們遇到了政府官員，發現有新一代和保守派之分。新一代政府官員願意合作，但保守派對專案流程和利益不清楚。我們希望從開放源始碼開始，集合各方資源，解決全球問題。我們需要政府和民間組織的合作，特別是對於智慧城市和技術發展的計劃。儘管副市長了解民間組織的發展，但市政府員工缺乏相關知識，因此需要教育他們。泰國民間組織的聲音近年來減弱，可能受到政治因素影響。這種合作模式仍在進行中，希望未來能持續下去。
- Just curious how enterprise can benefit from this model of initiative? Can civil society sustain the charge of corp. services?
- 開發新技術、新服務或新產品時，找到真實的目標用戶至關重要。首批 100 位用戶的回饋能幫助我們了解價值創造和解決的痛點。在合作過程中，我們能夠發展產品並獲得利益。關鍵在於，服務必須解決用戶的核心問題，創造更多價值。只要能夠有效解決這些問題，就會有預算支持我們，不論來自政府還是企業。他們會找到我們合作，這是我們的經驗。
- How do sustain the collaboration that cross borders and domains when partners having low commitment?
- 建立合作夥伴關係非常困難，包括企業、家庭、市政府和政府部門。我們透過許多線上研討會和實體會議，努力引起各方的興趣。雖然不敢說我們成功了，但我們嘗試讓這個專案運作，邀請企業和學術界合作，並到不同國家推銷我們的理念，試圖解決環境問題。這個理念可行，但需要更多資源和企業參與，才能有更多力量說服地方政府和其他組織加入。我希望未來能邀請更多利益相關者共同參與，但也擔心台灣政府在專案結束後不再關注。我們有一些成就，但仍需繼續努力。
