臺灣社交距離App由衛生福利部疾病管制署與台灣人工智慧實驗室共同研發，提供臺灣地區用戶接收COVID-19接觸通知，並提醒收到接觸通知的用戶連繫當地衛生局，以減少傳染風險。
The Taiwan Social Distancing App is developed by the Taiwan Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (Taiwan AILabs) in collaboration with the Executive Yuan and the Taiwan Centers of Disease Control (CDC) under the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Users who come in-
with known a known COVID-19 case will receive an Exposure Notification, and receive instructions on how to contact their local health authorities to lessen the risk of community spread.
台湾の「新型コロナウイルス接触確認アプリ」は、衛生福利部の疾病管制署(CDC)と台湾のAI Labs(AIラボ)が共同開発しました。台湾内で新型コロナウイルスの感染者と接触した場合、通知を受け取ることができます。通知を受けたユーザーが速やかに最寄りの衛生局へ連絡することで、感染拡大のリスクを抑えることができます。

臺灣社交距離 App 使用者無需註冊且不會有任何資料上傳，僅使用手持裝置間彼此藍牙訊號的強弱去計算每個使用者之間的距離。
This app neither collects nor uploads any personal data from the users, and users don't need to register any account to use this app. "Taiwan Social Distance App" uses the strength of Bluetooth signals between handheld devices to calculate the distance between each user.
アプリを利用する際、会員登録や、個人情報のアップロードなどは一切必要ありません。端末のBluetooth通信（およびAppleの提供する接触通知技術）だけで、登録者との接触検知が可能です。
此去中心化服務會將自己接觸過的手持裝置隨機 ID 資訊儲存在各自的手持裝置中，並且以嚴密的技術將資料去識別化，以保護使用者隱私。
The decentralized service of the app stores locally the random identifiers of other app-installed mobile devices who have come in close proximity with each other. The random identifiers are anonymized by a meticulous mechanism to uphold privacy protection.
この分散型のアプリケーションは、接触した者の端末が生成したランダムIDを端末の中だけに保存し、厳密なテクノロジーによって匿名化することで、利用者のプライバシーを確保します。

如果 App 的使用者被確診具傳染性的疾病，他可以選擇發布他的手持裝置隨機 ID (以嚴密的技術去識別化)，曾跟他的手持裝置有過近距離且維持一定時間接觸的人便會收到通知。且無法知道是誰，在兼顧個人隱私的情況下也保護公眾的健康。
If an app user is confirmed to have a contagious disease, they could choose to publish their random-generated, psuedonymized ID, and the system will notify all of the other users who have been in close proximity to the confirmed user about their exposure. The process is entirely anonymous and supports both data privacy and public health goals.
アプリのユーザーが陽性と診断された場合、いつでも自分の端末でランダムなID（厳密なテクノロジーによって匿名化されます）を発行することができます。そのユーザーと近距離で一定時間接触した別のユーザーには通知が届きますが、これは匿名化されたデータなので、個人のプライバシーを保ちながら、公衆衛生を保護することができます。
