## Sign up for project pitches and short talks
You can find the [infosheet here](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1QBegCH6UBrAHCB8s5YMgQDWFW2VtLQ7DQl1I00pXcFo/edit?gid=558445512#gid=558445512). The infosheet is an open document that we can all view and edit through out the event. The 'Hack' sheet is where you can sign up for project pitches and short talks. Slots are limited (do not add new rows!) so please sign up - first come first served.
### Project Pitches
Most of the timetable at this event is dedicated to "hacking time". Project pitches will happen at the start of each day, where you can introduce the project you are working on, and invite others to join/hack together. You are free to use any format, but everyone gets 3 mins to present.
### Workshops
Besides project pitches, this year we are inviting people to propose workshops or discussions which run for a specific duration e.g. 2 hours, and need a private space. Rooms are limited (located on 3/F), so we are using a sign up sheet (see "Hack" sheet) to collect proposals. Once finalised, we will be allocating time and space for them. If you are running a workshop, you still need to sign up on the project pitches section, to have 3 mins to introduce what the workshop is about.
### Short Talks
We will be running a lightening talk-style session after lunch on Saturday (19th). Sign up here if you'd like to share what you're working on. This session runs parallel to the hacking time, so attendance is optional. Every presentation will be no more than 8 mins.
### People
The public information you gave in the registration form (nickname, location, self-intro) are listed in the [People sheet](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1QBegCH6UBrAHCB8s5YMgQDWFW2VtLQ7DQl1I00pXcFo/edit?gid=1802390954#gid=1802390954). Feel free to add any other information you'd like to share with others who are joining the event - but only edit your own.

## 🍺 Food + Bar + Culture
Haja Center is in Yeongdeungpo, on the west side of Seoul. Some nearby areas worth exploring:
- Mullae (문래 文來) — old industrial district turned into a neighborhood of small studios, cafés, pubs, and independent cultural spaces
- Yeongdeungpo (영등포 永登浦) — lots of local restaurants, Korean BBQ, pubs, and late-night food
- Yeouido (여의도 汝矣島) — Han River parks, skyline views, restaurants, easy to reach on Line 5
- Hongdae / Hapjeong (홍대 弘大 / 합정 合井) — more nightlife, live music, bars, cafés, and restaurants; easy to reach on Line 2
More specific food / bar recommendations: [TBD]
## Hotel
Hongdae (弘大) and Hapjeong (合井) area has many more choices for accommodation and is relatively near to the venue (within 30mins by public transport, door to door).
- [Local Stitch Creator Town Seogyo](https://localstitch.town/): A great choice for people who like to combine laptop and fun (they have a nice coworking lounge). Booking at their website is usually cheaper.
- Hostel and airbnb options are plenty in this area.
Yeongdeungpo (永登浦) is the district where Haja Center (our venue) is located in. It's one of the old centers, once serving as an important gateway to Seoul. The commercial area and accommodation choices are centered around Yeongdeungpo train station (also serving subway line 1 Yeongdeungpo station 永登浦驛).
- [Hi Seoul Youth Hostel(하이서울유스호스텔)](https://www.booking.com/hotel/kr/hi-seoul-youth-hostel.ko.html?aid=324796&label=hi-seoul-youth-hostel-eCsILaim1C3i3iIjdifzSgS501024499171%3Apl%3Ata%3Ap1%3Ap2%3Aac%3Aap%3Aneg%3Afi%3Atikwd-30429582638%3Alp9195812%3Ali%3Adec%3Adm%3Appccp%3DUmFuZG9tSVYkc2RlIyh9YUBh8MufZgNFHpck8Hnzcw0&sid=453af966874498930a1c60e87cd88f17&dest_id=-716583&dest_type=city&dist=0&group_adults=2&group_children=0&hapos=1&hpos=1&no_rooms=1&req_adults=2&req_children=0&room1=A%2CA&sb_price_type=total&sr_order=popularity&srepoch=1788503978&srpvid=94792ed11b1104ba&type=total&ucfs=1&) ([NAVER Maps](https://naver.me/FtTbfKwP)): The best possible option as it is right next to the venue, provides clean rooms, at a discounted price. But availability is extremely limited.
- [Apollo Guesthouse(아폴로 게스트하우스)](https://kr.hotels.com/en/ho1548682784/apollo-guesthouse-seoul-south-korea/)([NAVER Maps](https://naver.me/G7VuRhdb)): One of the options we booked for student participants.
- There are many cheaper motel options here, though in the night the streets look a bit rough (as rough as you can get in Seoul, which is a relatively safe city)
## Weather
- Usually warm and pleasant, although the daytime can still feel like summer.
- Daytime: roughly mid-20s°C
- Evening / morning: roughly high teens to low-20s°C
- Indoor spaces and public transport may have air conditioning.
